extravagant grace: I'm in His will

extravagant grace: I'm in His will

I'm in His will

The book of Hebrews adds an interesting dimension to the concept of covenant. It reveals that the covenant is a testament and a will. The New Covenant is the last testament and will of Jesus Christ. Jesus died that you might inherit His property!
Why is the Covenant referred to as a will?

You cannot use two wills simultaneously. If a man properly composes his will, later changes his mind and writes another. Then, the last will invalidate the previous one. The New Covent invalidates the Old Covenant (Hebrews 8:13).
The problem is that believers want to combine the two covenants.  The Old Covenant belonged to Abraham’s physical descendants, the Jews of old. The New belongs to Abraham’s spiritual descendants, those who have placed their faith in Christ. Focus on your Covenant.
Of course, we study the whole Bible. We read both covenants, old and new. However, we study the Old Covenant with a New Testament mentality. The old reveals God in shadows and types. The New reveals the complete picture of God in the face of His son, Jesus. Jesus is the best picture God ever took. Jesus is the revelation of our father, God. How does God look? He looks like Christ!

The greatest revelation of the New Covenant is that it takes only one party to make it work! When a man writes his will, he bequeaths his property to another. He most probably worked for his goods, but, another inherits it.
In the New Covenant we inherit Jesus’ property. Jesus did all the work. Our job is to freely receive. We don’t work for any blessing in the New Covenant. The gospel is the revelation of the free things that belong to us in Christ.
Don’t be like the elder brother in the story of the “prodigal son”. He was working for what already belong to him. Working like a servant instead of as a president. The father gave him all but he didn’t know it.

All things are yours. The cross made a difference. Don’t have an Old mentality, possess the new. Prayer is like using your ATM, you are withdrawing what belongs to you. You are not a beggar, Christ’s inheritance is yours. His will covers you.  J
God bless you.

Shadow Christianity

Have you watched Christian TV lately? If it's not the "anointing" on the prayer shawl,it's the significance of the "period" of passover,or it's the power God pours out during the festival of Pentecost. Have we gone back to the shadows?

Every year we keep listening to preachers glorify the "first fruit"offering.

what next? Animal sacrifices?

Jesus is the power of prayer, Jesus is my lamb, the lamb that takes away my sins. He is the first fruits, we'll follow Him in resurrection.

What part of "it is finished" don't we understand?

Why do we fall in love with the shadow, when we have Jesus, the substance?

Itching Ears

John 3:16 is just too simple, it’s too elementary, we need to hear more…let’s get to the “meat of the word”.

Praying to the Father is for babes, let’s tackle demons. Isn’t it time for warfare prayers and warfare praises?

Giving to God without expecting a miracle in return shows your lack of understanding…it’s time to start giving with selfish ambitions…after all, God planted Jesus to reap us, didn’t He?

I’m your spiritual father; you’ve got to pay tithes to me. Don’t you know that without me you are a spiritual bastard? The Heavenly Father is not enough, you need me… You can’t preach without your pastor’s permission, don’t you know he’s your “covering”? The anointing you have flows from the Head; of course head doesn’t refer to Christ it refers to your General Overseer, the president of your church…

After you are born-again, you need to be “re-delivered”, this gist that simple faith in Christ is enough is DANGEROUS!

If you don’t tithe this month, your loving Father will take His portion through hospital bills, or allow the devourer to do it… You’ve been redeemed from the curse of the law [except the curse of the law of tithing of course ☺].

We need to be re-anointed every now and then you know, the one you received at salvation is just not enough.

If you don’t add good works to your faith you’ll go to hell, after all didn’t James say faith without works is dead?

I’ve heard lots and lots of rubbish…my ears are itching.

I WON'T GO TO HELL...

I won’t go to hell…
He went to hell for me.
I won’t pay for my sins…
He already paid for them.
I won’t ever be punished…
He was punished in my name.
I won’t remember my sins…
He doesn’t remember. Why should I?
I won’t live irresponsibly…
It’s not my life, it’s His life.

MIRACLES - LET'S PLAY BALL

I tell you for certain that if you have faith in me, you will do the same things that I am doing. You will do even greater things, now that I am going back to the Father. (John 14:12)

The Bible is a book of miracles. God’s mighty interventions in the life of ordinary people. Not just “natural miracles” but true supernatural inexplicable acts.

The New Testament opens with Jesus, God’s first-born son. A miracle worker per excellence. Water turned to wine, the dead raised, the sick healed, walking on water….
Jesus dies, resurrects and goes back to heaven. Here comes the Acts of the Apostles. The miracle ministry which they had during Jesus’ brief three years of ministry definitely expands.
The same miracles that Jesus did and more…
Shadows cast healed sick bodies….

IT CAN STILL HAPPEN TODAY
God doesn’t have great men.
The best of men are men at best.
Only ordinary people do miracles, that’s the grace element. God takes the glory because He does all the work!

The church – you and me –have the power of Jesus Christ. We have the cure for cancer, HIV-AIDS but we don’t know it.
It’s time to know and act.
Only cowards among us will settle for explanations on why God can’t use us to do miracles today.

Jesus can do miracles, He lives in us!
Let’s let Jesus loose on our world.
The world doesn’t just need an explanation of grace; they need a demonstration of it!

If not now, when?
If not us, who?
The ball is in our court.

GOD BLESS NIGERIA

“But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound.” (Rom 5:20)

This verse of scripture gives me lots of hope. When there’s a lot of sin, grace comes along and triumphs abundantly.

There is hope for Nigeria. Today, October 1, Nigeria celebrates her 49th anniversary. As far as we can see, greed, corruption, crime, religious crisis seem to hold sway. But, light shines brightest in the dark.

We are too closely scrutinized in International airports worldwide. Our name seems to be soiled. People are afraid to associate with us. Why? The criminal minority with the loudest expressions.
Poor, even though we are about the 6th largest exporter of crude oil.
Colin Powel is reported to have said that the wealth of the UK and the US combined does not compare to the natural resources found in Nigeria. But, we are still one of the poorest nations in the world.

I can’t shake this feeling. Nigeria would one day become one of the greatest nations this world has ever seen. There is a lot of sin in Nigeria; this is what gives me hope. Man’s extremity is God’s opportunity. The stone rejected will one day be the chief cornerstone.

God will raise the greatest gospel teachers and preachers from Nigeria, that’s His style. He that is forgiven much will love more. That’s Nigeria.
One day, Nigeria will become one of the safest and most beautiful nations in the world. The gospel will do it.

One day this dark nation will bring light to the world. Grace tells me that the least expected becomes the most expected.

I believe in the Nigerian dream. I’m proudly Nigerian. I’m a part of that dream.
God bless Nigeria.
